Praise from ABC personality for AAL1's!!
11 May 2012
Our AAL1's played Sydney Uni last weekend in the State Cup. While they did not come away with a win, they didn't leave without making a great impression on their opposition. I had the pleasure of sharing a tablet at a business dinner last night with their coach, media personality and self-confessed geek, Adam Spencer. He was full of praise for the girls and coach Ross Gawthorne for their spirit, great sportsmanship and 'playing the game the way women's football should be played'. Well done to Ross and the girls - you've done SUFC and yourselves proud.

To help ensure referees are available at all games and that the standard is kept high, NDSFA recently conducted a training program for Club referees. Congratulations to Wil Boidin, Patrick Moloney, Johnny Maher, Eden Stubbs and Mark Cotter for passing the course. We look forward to seeing them on Summerhayes this season.

Champion of Champions Final
23 Oct 2011
SUFC 14.1's put up a great effort in the Champion of Champions Final but Football South Coast were too good on the day.
The first SUFC male team to make the CofC Final since 1990, the team did themselves, their families and the Club proud.
We wish Daniel Wheatley well, and a full and speedy recovery from a 2nd half injury that saw him leave the field in an ambulance - we're all thinking of you Wheats.

Presidents Cup Update
13 Oct 2011
Our 10.1's unfortunately lost 3:2 to Bligh Park. Springwood was not able to overcome the 3 goal handicap they received, but the team tried very hard and only fell 1 goal short. Well done to all.
