Springwood United Football Club relies on strong support from club volunteers to ensure the club gets it’s near 1100 players on the pitch each and every weekend.
In 2024 there are a number of positions that need filling so we can start planning for the new season ahead.

Events Co-Ordinator or Sub Committee (multiple helpers welcomed)
The Club is looking for members to form an Events sub-committee that will be responsible for the planning and execution of the various social events and presentations that occur throughout the season with the hope of engaging and catering for all age groups of our Club.
An Events sub-committee would help see social events come to life including; Season Launches, Coach & Managers Thank You BBQ's, fund raising events, junior and senior presentation days, end of season functions and any new concepts and ideas at the discretion of the committee.
The Events Co-Ordinator or Sub Committee will report to the FC and Football Manager and will be supported by the Management Committee with the hope of seeing many of these functions come to fruition in 2024.

Volunteers Co-Ordinator
The Volunteers Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of our volunteer base. A new role at SUFC, this role includes ensuring that SUFC has adequate committee members rostered on for Park Duty for game day/nights during the football season. This role will also support the Canteen Manager with the BBQ/Canteen roster to ensure coverage in the Canteen and BBQ on game day/nights. General Committee Members
SUFC is seeking several General Committee Members to support SUFC’s operations during the Football season, as required. This support could include performing Park Duty on game day/nights, attending Football Committee meetings, or any other adhoc duties that may be required for the smooth running of the Club. This is a great opportunity to dip your toes into the SUFC committee to get a feel for what we do and how you could contribute in the future. Senior Players Representative (Men's Teams U19 to O35's)
The Senior Male Player Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, representing and liaising with teams in the Intermediate (U19+), Waratah League, All Age, O35 and O45 male age groups of SUFC.
A member of the Football Sub Committee, the Senior Male Player Co-Ordinator reports to the Football Manager and works closely with others on the committee.
An important role is ensuring at all times the fluent communication of information between SUFC and its senior male teams, Coaches and Managers.
- Assist in the registration process of players on Club registration days.
- Assist the Registrar with allocation of all senior male players into teams based on previous year’s team make ups, any grading if conducted.
- Assist teams to identify and register a Coach and Manager to liaise between the Club and the players in their team on match days.
- Assist Coaches and Managers to maintain Working With Children Clearance status.
- Ensure that teams Coaches and Managers are aware of Club policies, in particular in relation to the Clubs playing shirts policy.
- Ensures the appropriate use of the fields for training, games and other club activities in line with club policies and council rules, regulations and policies;
- Act as the Point of Contact for all players, parents, Coaches & Managers within the Senior Men’s Age Groups;
- Communicate all relevant football information to the Coaches and Managers as required e.g.: coaching courses and field closures;
- Be available to assist with ground control/events on a voluntary basis.
- Attend and report on activities of the portfolio at monthly Football Committee Meetings.
