We remind members that these sessions are only for players wishing to try out for Division 1 teams and we therefore ask that players and parents give thought to their players suitability for Division 1 teams before attending the advertised sessions for their age groups, over the coming fortnight.
All relevant information regarding Division 1 Train-On Squad grading is available on our website at: https://www.springwoodunited.com.au/news.asp?pid=6&id=333
February 2019 Grading Window
Grading for the remainder of the club will commence as normal in the first weeks of February 2019.
A calendar will be published after the conclusion of Train-On Squad grading to avoid any confusion.
The February Grading Window will provide grading for all Under 11 to U17 boys & girls teams and will allow new members to the club to be considered for spots remaining in Division 1 teams.
Senior Men’s & Women’s teams (Intermediate, All Age & Over 30, Over 35 and Over 45) will attend separate formation days and information events that will be scheduled for early February 2019.
It is important to note that some teams, (in particular female teams) cannot be finalised until player registrations have been completed.
What To Do Now?
The club encourages everyone to read the Grading Policy and all other documents referred to in the Grading Information posted on the Clubs Website. The following list is designed to help members work through what they need to do, but does not negate the need to inform themselves with the grading policy and other information the club has provided, including the list of frequently asked questions.
- Decide if your player is suited to and wishes to attend grading for Division 1 Train-On Squads.
- Check Timetable for respective age group, note start and finish times.
- Go to the clubs website and read the Grading Information provided, including the Grading Policy Version 8 and the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ pages.
- Download and complete an ‘Expression of Interest to Participate in Grading’ form. This provides your player with cover in case of injury and captures player and emergency contact information. Bring completed form to grading or email to grading@springwoodunited.com.au
- Refer to website information for what to do on the day of your players grading session.
- Remember there will be grading sessions for all other players of male and female teams in February that will help form teams in Divisions 2, 3, 4 etc.
