Coaches & Managers Update – Friday 5 August
Summerhayes Park will be open for games this weekend. All Mini Roos’s, Lyrebirds and competition teams will kick off at Summerhayes Park this weekend with the sunny weather looking favourable.
Please keep an eye on your DRIBL application for any rescheduling or movement of games over the weekend in the event matches are moved to Summerhayes.
Marshals
As we approach the last rounds of the season and the finals series for competition teams, Coaches & Managers are reminded to ensure they choose suitable persons as Marshals for games at both home and away matches.
There have been multiple incidents of abuse and intimidation towards referees this year and the NFA advise that in many cases, marshalls and ground officials have not been present or easily identifiable.
Please ensure you choose a responsible, attentive person as your marshal and that they are visible in the appropriate vest, recorded in DRIBL etc.
Find a Ground Official/Committee Member in a pink vest should you have issues in your match.
Player Names for Trophy Orders
If you haven’t already done so, please refer to an email sent out by your Age Co-ordinators and confirm the spelling of your team members names in preparation for our 2022 trophy orders to be submitted.
All Coaches & Managers were emailed player lists that need verifying to ensure the correct names are placed on trophies.
Please email Registrar@springwoodunited.com.au to confirm names are correct, or to identify changes that need to be made or if different names are required on your players trophy.
Junior & Senior Clubman Award 2022
It’s not too late to submit a nomination for the Junior and Senior clubman award for 2022. These awards recognise outstanding services to the club both on and off the field by a Junior (<18) or an over 18 senior member/player.
Nominations will close shortly but coaches, managers, parents, players and associates are welcome to submit a nomination for this award via the link below.
End of Season Reports - 2022 Year Book
It's that time of year again! The end of the season will be here before we know it and whilst it's been a topsy turvy year for all of us, it time to reflect on the positive moments throughout the year and write up some club history for our 2022 Yearbook. Your end of season report can be completed via the link below:
Just follow the prompts to include your age group, division, team colour or animal. Please keep the word limit to a maximum of 250 words. The Club welcomes a positive review of how your team came together and general game play through the season. Please avoid individual player reporting as this is meant to be about your team. Player names, coach & manager details will be added under the body of your report.
