Good morning Coaches & Managers,

A fortnight ago saw the conclusion of the season with 6 Springwood United FC teams competing in Grand Finals and a number of junior teams compete at Gala Days across the association.

On Thursday night our U12 Div 1 boys play Emu Plains FC in the Nepean Cup Final at Jamison Park. Kick Off is at 6pm if you want to come and support the team.

Our Waratah League team, Over 30’s Women’s team and our U15 Div 1 boys continue to represent the club at Champion of Champions matches in late September. We wish all teams the best of luck.

Kit Return Day – Saturday 10th September

This Saturday between 8am – 12 noon we ask that all teams return the playing kit and training equipment to the clubhouse upon the season conclusion.

The Coach, Manager or a team representative is asked to do the following;

• Account for all jerseys, make note of any missing, damaged or heavily soiled jerseys
• Empty kit bag and ball bag of all personal items, lost property, rubbish, mud & grass
• Wash and dry all jerseys and training bibs
• Fold or store jerseys and bibs inside clean kit bag
• Place balls, cones, cone holder and any other supplied training equipment you signed for at the beginning of the year inside ball bag
• Drop the kit and ball bag at the clubhouse on Saturday morning and sign in the equipment on behalf of the team.

End of Season Reports - 2022 Year Book DEADLINE EXTENDED

Reports for inclusion in this years year book are now due. We have extended the deadline to Thursday 15th September where we hope all team submissions will be accounted for.

Your end of season report can be completed with the End of Season Report Submission Form 2022

Just follow the prompts to include your age group, division, team colour or animal. Please keep the word limit to a maximum of 250 words. If you have a great picture of your team or players from throughout the season, have them saved and ready to attach to the report for inclusion in the year book.

Upcoming Presentation Dates

Our Junior & Senior Presentation dates are set with final preparations being made to confirm the timetable for individual age groups.

Junior Presentation - Sunday 9th October at Winmalee Public School Hall,  9 - 4pm

Senior Presentation Evening - Saturday 22nd October at Springwood Sports Club, 6pm till late

Annual General Meeting - Saturday 22nd October at Springwood Sports Club, being held prior to Senior Presentation evening.

Coaches & Managers are asked to share these dates with their players and parent groups and to keep an eye on club emails, facebook and web pages for updates as we get closer to these events.

Planning on Returning to Coach in 2023?

The club hopes that many of our Coaches and Managers will return next season for what we can only hope is as normal a season as possible. The club has some exciting plans for coaching development and skills training for our players and look forward to seeing some familiar faces returning.

You can submit an Expression of Interest to Coach or Manage in 2023 at this link and be included in updates and plans for the season ahead.
