A position description is being drafted for this role. The Female Football Co-Ordinator will work closely with the Junior and Senior Female Player representatives and be an active member of the football committee.
The main responsibilities of the Female Football Co-Ordinator will be to:
- Guide the current and future direction of female football for the club.
- Represent the club on Female Football Standing Committee (4 yearly Zoom Meetings run by NFA)
- Co-Ordinate Female Football Initiatives in collaboration with Junior Female Football Co-Ordinator (Vacant) and Senior Female Players Co-Ordinator (Mel Dighton)
- Be an advocate and support person for all things Female Football
There is always work to be done to improve the football experience of our female players in addition to simple player retention from season to season. After a few rocky years of Covid and rain affected fixtures we are hoping that 2023 brings new life to the club and it would be great to get this position filled and see some of our senior female players or parents getting involved in supporting the female football space.
Female Football initiatives in 2023 will include; 'Come & Try' events, Female Football Gala Nights and Female Football Week Activities. 2 new programs that SUFC will be looking to facilitate in the future have recently been launched by Football NSW. Check out the links below.
