A number of near misses have been reported and witnessed in the Club's carpark in recent weeks.
The Club would like to remind all of our members to be safe when moving around the carpark whether night or day, driving or walking, when dropping off and collecting your children from training sessions and on busy match days at Summerhayes Park.
Please take the following steps to ensure the safety of everyone;
- All children should be accompanied through the carpark.
- Coaches and Managers must sight a parent before allowing players to leave training session’s.
- Parents must collect players and escort them back to their cars, especially junior players.
- There is limited set down and drop off points so please reduce congestion by parking prior to drop off or pick up.
- Players should not be left at the grounds waiting for parent’s to collect them.
- Please drive at a safe speed at all times (walking pace @ 8-10km/hr)
- Be mindful of children when reversing.
- Be patient on busy nights at the change-over times.
- Remember headlight glare may reduce visibility.
- Ensure children are close to you when walking out between cars.
- Remind children of their responsibility to be road safe.
- Take care when turning in and out of Hawkesbury Road, especially on busy weekend match days.
